As 2025 comes to a close, it is worth taking a look back on what engaged citizens accomplished across Colorado.
This year, Coloradans showed organized voices still make an impact.
When we work together, we can overpower the lobbyists and political insiders at the Capitol.
For example, citizens deluged their representatives with concerns over SB25-03, the attempted "assault weapons" ban. Citizen testimony and grassroots pressure made all the difference. Committee hearings were packed, votes were delayed and ultimately legislators were forced to soften the bill.
The same was true on parental rights when parents refused to allow radical policy to be rushed through. Coordinated engagement forced a complete re-write of HB25-1312, the bill which would have taken custody away from parents who refused to "affirm" their child's gender confusion.
And each and every time Colorado Democrats tried to end-run TABOR, they were met with bold opposition from thousands of Coloradans.
It's really pretty simple. Politicians accept silence as consent.

That matters as we look ahead to the 2026 legislative session. Many of the same bad ideas will return, often with new names, sneakier language and faster timelines.
But, with an informed and organized citizen base ready to respond early and apply sustained pressure, we can stop many of their worst bills in their tracks.
Colorado Freedom Force exists to make sure that pressure never fades. In the year ahead, our focus remains simple.
Inform citizens early.
Mobilize them quickly.
Keep the spotlight on legislation that impacts our freedom.
