The claim that Colorado's elections are the "gold standard" was a lie from its inception.

As we continue to escalate our push for the U.S. Senate to pass the SAVE America Act, we must also turn to the Colorado Legislature to help kill a suspicious bill.

Right now, Jena Griswold is scrambling to cover her tracks while her lackeys in the Legislature are pushing a bill to further muddy our election and diminish transparency.

Don't forget, Griswold is part of the "Colorado Candidate Carousel Crew", trying to jump from one elected position to another, and with the power wielded nowadays by the Attorney General's office, the political underlings would be wise to start racking up favors from her ASAP.

HB26-1113 is a newly-introduced bill that will slam the door in the face of anyone trying to inspect the security and integrity of Colorado's elections, and you can read all about it this week.

HB26-1113 - Modifications to Elections

Colorado Democrats have introduced HB26-1113, which is being sold as "modernization" of elections, or a "narrow cleanup bill". But in reality, it's a structural rewrite of election procedures across multiple fronts, including:

  • Lengthening ballot circulation from as short as 18 days to as long as 29

  • Expanding drop box access to 22 days from 15

  • Weakening voter challenge mechanisms

  • Increasing bureaucratic control over local processes

HB26-1113 is a sweeping omnibus election bill making dozens of changes to how our state conducts elections.

At a time when scrutiny of election integrity is ever-increasing, elected officials who have held the majority for 7+ years removing transparency and expanding all the dangerous "conveniences" is a curious move.

We all know longer ballot circulation periods mean more opportunities for harvesting or mishandling, and less certainty about chain of custody.

The bill also repeals Colorado’s long-standing provision allowing any registered elector to formally challenge another voter’s registration on grounds of illegality or fraud. Removing that mechanism weakens one of the few citizen level safeguards built into our system.

Transparency and accountability are apparently viewed as threats by Jena Griswold.

If Colorado elections are truly the "gold standard", why so many changes?

Omnibus election bills deserve heightened scrutiny because they bundle controversial provisions together, making it harder for the public to focus on any single change.

HB26-1113 deserves serious opposition and spirited public debate.
